A long-awaited hotel project announced more than three years ago is scheduled to break ground in August.
The Westin will occupy land that now houses the vacant Mississippi Valley Title Building near the federal courthouse downtown.
Developers announced plans for the $53-million, 205-room luxury hotel in late 2011.
Joseph Simpson of Capital Hotel Associates LLC is the lead developer on the project.
