Like the man himself, Jack White's Nashville-based label and record store, Third Man Records, has become an institution. Artists such as The Shins, the Black Lips, Drive-By Truckers and Cold War Kids have recorded live albums at the adjoining venue, most of which are only available on vinyl through the store. The Third Man Rolling Record Store helps spread the musical love. Next stop: Jackson.
The big yellow van will be parked in front of Offbeat (151 Wesley Ave., 601-376-9404) Sunday, March 15, from 2 to 5 p.m. Shoppers will be able to pick up limited-edition Third Man merchandise, including vinyl, books and t-shirts, as the van blasts the label's latest tunes. Deejays will perform in Offbeat, and TurnUp Studios will feature art displays.
Debuting in March 2011, the Third Man Rolling Record Store has traditionally travelled the major music festival circuit, making stops at events such as South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tenn., and Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores, Ala., but it's also known to pop up at local record stores across America.

Metro Master Gardeners Annual Plant Sale
The Metro Master Gardeners will hold their annual plant sale at Mynelle Gardens (4736 Clinton Boulevard) Saturday, April 25. The plant sale begins at 8 a.m. and ends at noon.
The Master Gardeners organization is a volunteer branch of the Mississippi State Extension Service, which advises and educates the public on gardening and horticulture issues. Members of the Metro Master Gardeners will be on hand at the plant sale to answer gardening questions.
Metro Master Gardeners volunteers have propagated a wide variety of native and naturalized heirloom plants, perennials, shrubs and trees. Many of these plants come from project and demonstration gardens located throughout the metro Jackson area, such as the Eudora Welty House (1119 Pinehurst St.), the Oaks House Museum (823 N. Jefferson St.), Greenwood Cemetery (701-799 N. West St.) and the Doctor's Garden at the Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum (1150 Lakeland Drive).
Proceeds from the plant sale support gardening projects, community gardens and various demonstrations, and educational and scholarship projects in the metro Jackson area.
After finalizing their plant purchases, shoppers are invited to enjoy a stroll through Mynelle Gardens.

The first workshop will inform metro area residents about the importance of their dreams, the second will offer healthy tips on weight loss, and the final one will discuss the essential health benefits of superfoods.
The workshops will meet at the Madison Campus (2115 Main St.) on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The registration fee for each workshop is $10 per session.
Facilitator Karen Mori Bonner, MS, LPC will lead the first workshop, "How to Understand your Dreams," on March 20. This workshop will explain the structure of the psyche that is the source of dreams and offer multiple ways to immediately begin interpreting them. Bonner is a counselor with a special interest and expertise in dreaming who regularly hosts seminars and workshops focusing on the dream world.
On March 27, chiropractor Justin Brumfield, DC, will lead the second workshop, titled "Exercise after Inactivity." This workshop will cater to those that have never regularly exercised or have not done so for a prolonged period. He will also provide expert advice on how to healthily lose weight, build strength and increase flexibility.
Brumsfield will also facilitate the final workshop, "Superfoods," on April 10, which will outline how to use superfoods to get vital nutrients for maximum health benefits.
