RUSTON, La. (AP) — Louisiana Tech head baseball coach Lane Burroughs has added former Jones County Junior College assistant Travis Creel as an assistant coach to the Bulldogs staff.

Creel joins Louisiana Tech after spending two years at Jones County, helping guide the Bobcats to a 2016 NJCAA Division II National Championship. During his stint with the Bobcats, Creel served as the hitting coach, infield coach and recruiting coordinator.

At Tech, Burroughs said Monday that Creel will coach first base, while working with infielders, assisting with hitting and serving as the director of camps.
