PHILADELPHIA, Miss. (AP) — Neshoba County Fair officials say one of Donald Trump's sons is planning to appear at the fair next week.
State Rep. Scott Bounds, who's on the fair board, tells multiple news organizations that 38-year-old Donald Trump Jr. will shake hands and greet people July 26 on the fairgrounds.
The younger Trump will not take part in political speeches July 27 and July 28.
The Neshoba County Fair is traditionally one of the biggest political gatherings in Mississippi each year. During some of the hottest days of summer, statewide and regional candidates and officials speak under a tin-roofed pavilion.
The fairground is set on the red clay hills south of Philadelphia, and extended groups of friends and relatives live in two-story shotgun-style cabins. The speeches attract a mostly white, conservative crowd.
