Mayor Chokwe A. Lumumba issued a strong warning to people and businesses that violated his executive orders aimed at curbing COVID-19 spread during a March 30 press conference. Lumumba's orders ban gatherings of 10 or more people, limit restaurant operations to take-out or delivery services and require non-essential City employees to work remotely. Bars and nightclubs must remain closed, he reiterated, and vowed to shut off the electricity of businesses that violated the orders. Courtesy of City of Jackson.
